Anandaniketan has about 350 beds, It provides residential care for people with mental illness: men and women of any age group and here is a shelter component: around 100 people can stay (lodging + boarding) in the shelter home, and treatment cost is borne by the inmates

The organization was established in 1988It started in a humble way in the village of Khajurdihi, near Katwa.One key figure is Dr. Haramohan Sinha, described as a philanthropist and social worker.
