A candidate has to pass H.S. Examination to become eligible for admission to this course. Total number of seats for this course is only 25. All matters relating to holding of examination etc. for this course are conducted by the National Institute for the Mentally handicapped. Successful candidates get scope to work in SARVO SIKSHA MISSION.

Selter Home 

The society runs two separate shelter homes (for male & female) under Juvenile Justice Act. Of West Bengal with the approval from the director of social welfare, Govt. of West Bengal quotes of keeping 100 girls & 50 boys inmates are these in these homes. Now Government has brought all these shelter homes under I.C.P.S. scheme. The state Govt. has started working to make available all the benefits of the children protection Act. By forming S.C.P.S. at the state and D.C.P.S. at the district level. Another positive side of this scheme is to consider some of these homes as children with special need (CWSN) homes.

Special School 

Children are admitted to this school after assessment of their IQs. Children from distant places are also admitted to the hostels. Some students attend the school as Day carers and some are brought by Society's vehicle from the nearby villages on a regular basis. In the last academic session 71 boys and 28 girls were admitted to this school. Amongst them 14 were admitted in the hostel and 85 attended the school as outsiders.

Vocational 

The Society started organising various vocational training programmes to train the disabled and distressed persons enabling them to stand on their own feet and to build up work culture. Daily useful materials like Bed sheets, Towels, Woollen wrappers, Lungies, Clothes for uniforms, Side bags & Mats etc are prepared through this unit.

We are proud of the fact that Indian Council for Child Welfare has formed Disability Sub Committee comprising of Prof. T. Ravathy, Chairperson, Dr. Renu Nanda, Co-Chairperson, Smt. Girija Kumarbabu, Member, Smt. Vaidehi Subramani, Member, Shri Y. Sarat Singh, Member, Subrata Sinha (Secretary Society for Mental Health Care, Anandaniketan) , Member for coming three years to potentiate the work in the field of disability.
